Real People—Meeting Real Needs

We are committed to fulfilling Gods commandment given to us in Matthew 28:19, 20. Our mission is to comfort the hurting, save the lost and teach the found by providing both material and spiritual aid to those in need and supporting missionaries located in remote, poverty stricken areas of Appalachia and the South Dakota native American Indian nations. To preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise.

Wings of Faith has always tried to be there—helping people who can’t help themselves… physically, spiritually, financially and materially.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, that it is His holy and inspired Word and is the supreme and final authority.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and led a sinless life.

We believe Jesus Christ took upon himself the sins of the world, died and rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father as our mediator and advocate.

We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, and need to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross.

We believe Jesus Christ was crucified and has risen from the dead, and is coming again soon.

We believe in holy Christian living and that we must have a concern for the hurts and social needs of our fellow men.

We believe that we must dedicate ourselves anew to the service of our Lord and to His authority over our lives.

We believe in using every available means of contact and communication to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

History

Wings of Faith·East was created in NC in 2009 as a new chapter of Wings of Faith Ministries, Inc. to serve missions and missionaries in poverty stricken areas of Appalachia and the Native American Indian lands located in remote areas of South Dakota, this expansion is a result of the Lords leading and answer to prayer.

Wings of Faith Ministries, Inc.  began in late 1975 when Rev. Dale Whinery had a vision to help those in need by using light aircraft to service missions and missionaries wherever and whenever the need.  Wings of Faith conducts evangelistic services, as well as medical and emergency assistance. We serve the needs of missionaries in the field providing food, clothing and other necessities to help their work in the mission to be more productive.

Wings of Faith has aided in disaster relief for many years, providing medical assistance in the field with emergency and non-emergency medical flights and serving local hospitals and children’s facilities (at no charge).

All of our pilots and ground personnel are volunteers. We believe God has provided us with the very best in the field. Many of the pilots who fly with Wings of Faith are professional having thousands of hours of flying time. Some are private pilots, others airline pilots who volunteer their time, talents and aircraft. They fulfill a need, helping others who may not be able to help themselves, by providing a service in “the Lords Air Force”.

There is always a need somewhere, and we welcome those who have a heart to serve that need. For more than 35 years, God has kept Wings of Faith flying and serving that need. We are very grateful for all He has provided, for those who have served, and those who will serve in the future. They are Real People—Meeting Real Needs.
